Tips for storing oils

The longevity, effectiveness, therapeutic benefits, and safe use of essential oils largely depend on the storage methods employed. When stored properly in the right container and at optimal temperatures, essential oil can maintain its maximum shelf life for at least one year. Adequate storage methods can extend the shelf life of certain essential oils for up to ten years or more, depending on the type of oil and storage conditions.

Get the most out of your oils by storing them correctly:

• Choose a location that is shielded from sunlight.
• Always check the seal of the packaging to prevent the oils from oxidizing due to exposure to air.
• The design of our bottles minimizes direct contact with your fingers—take advantage of this to prevent bacteria from proliferating in the jar.
• Room temperature is optimal for our oils, with a recommended storage temperature between 5 and 20 degrees Celsius.
